Evangeline was a Supercharge Your Search Student 💫
At Aussie Recruit, we’re always excited to share the successes of fellow Australians in landing their jobs in the US. In this post, we dive into Evanegline’s story, highlighting her top US job-searching tips for fellow Australians.
Break Down Tasks
It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by job searching in the US, especially from Australia! Evangeline suggests breaking down your job search into smaller, more achievable tasks, to make it much more manageable. The goal is to focus on the immediate next steps. This helps to prevent feeling overwhelmed by the entire process. Small steps in the right direction will overall boost your motivation and confidence!
Stay Organized
Being organized throughout your job search is key. Evangeline recommends using a spreadsheet to track all of your job applications. This helps you to keep a clear record of all the jobs you’ve applied for and any action items. For every job, make a note as to what stage you’re at, e.g. applied, interviewed, pending etc. Being organized helps you stay on top of your progress, follow up on opportunities and be persistent throughout your search.
