✨ INSIGHT #1: POST PANDEMIC BOUNCE BACK, U.S. COMPANIES ARE STARTING TO SPONSOR MORE AUSTRALIANS ON E-3 VISAS

With the rise of Covid in 2020 and the devastating effects worldwide, hiring in the U.S. was rapidly impacted and many companies stopped hiring immediately.

Fast forward to 2021, the number of E-3 visa LCAs filed picked back up and steadily increased over the course of the year.

✨ INSIGHT #3: E-3 VISAS ARE READILY AVAILABLE FOR AUSTRALIANS (UNLIKE THE OVERSUBSCRIBED H-1B) AND HAVE A HIGH APPROVAL RATE

There are 10,500 new E-3 visas available for Australians every year, and in recent years less than 50% have been utilized. Further, in 2021 over 95% of E-3 visa LCAs filed were certified (approved).

Approximately 40% of these certified E-3 visa LCAs were for new employment vs continued employment.

When completing the LCA, an employer selects from certain Occupational titles. The Occupational title is like a job category. E.g. For the Occupational title Marketing Manager, actual job titles may include (but not limited to) Account Supervisor, Brand Manager, Business Development Manager and Marketing Manager.
